The founding meeting of the China Cybersecurity Association's Intelligent Connected Vehicle Security Professional Committee was held in Wuhan, Hubei Province on the morning of November 9. The chairman of the association pointed out that the committee should focus on the challenges brought by new technologies and applications, conduct research, timely provide research results and feedback on issues facing the competent authorities, actively support policy-making, help the industry form a broad consensus; fully leverage the role of expert think tanks, accelerate the enhancement of network and data security capabilities in the fields including intelligent connected vehicles, drones, industrial control, etc. The committee was initiated by 53 member units including Huazhong University of Science and Technology, National Internet Emergency Center, Dongfeng Automobile, Huawei, Xiaomi, Haier, aiming to play a bridging role, organize and mobilize member units to carry out work such as research on policies and regulations for intelligent connected vehicle security, standard development, technological innovation, industrial cooperation, think tank establishment, talent cultivation, international exchanges.
