Delaware judge Kathryn McComick plans to make a final ruling on Elon Musk's $56 billion Tesla compensation plan before the end of this year. The plan was first proposed in 2018, when Musk received a large number of stock options, which were considered the largest compensation plan in the history of American companies. Judge McComick ruled in January this year that the plan was unfair to Tesla shareholders, and believed that it was reached under the circumstance of the board of directors being "extremely grateful" to Musk.
