The EU Chamber of Commerce in China has noticed that, as of September 12, the media reported that the European Commission had rejected all price commitment proposals from Chinese electric car companies and industry associations in the EU's anti-subsidy investigation. We are extremely disappointed and strongly dissatisfied with this. The EU's investigation into electric cars from China driven by trade protectionism is distorting the fair competition environment for Chinese enterprises in Europe and is having a significantly negative impact on the EU's business environment and global efforts to address climate change. Despite this, Chinese relevant companies and industry associations have successively put forward industry proposals to the EU, hoping to pragmatically address both parties' legitimate concerns, promote dialogue and negotiations to resolve the issues. These proposals are constructive, flexible, and feasible, and have created favorable conditions for dialogue and negotiations. However, although the EU has stated that "the door to dialogue is always open," its arbitrary rejection of the commitment proposals from Chinese enterprises is entirely contrary to its public stance.
