Sources said that Connors had previously helped lead Nomura's forex and emerging markets trading business, and joined Nomura in 2021 after working as a partner at Goldman Sachs. Due to the confidentiality of the information, the sources preferred not to be named. The sources stated that during his three years at Nomura, Connors helped the company recruit over 20 traders and salespeople in London, Milan, New York, and Singapore. The traders he recruited included Brent Cook, Jonathan Powell, Ruchir Sharma, Todd Richards, Chirag Garg, and David Thursfield, although some of them have also left the company.
