The Russian Pacific Fleet formation conducted actual combat exercises in designated areas of the Sea of Japan and the Sea of Okhotsk, after deployment. The formation first performed exercises to defend against unmanned enemy boat attacks, during which the warship released smoke for concealment and dispatched ship-borne helicopters to search for sea targets. After that, the formation carried out artillery shooting training on water and air targets of the imaginary enemy, and also conducted anti-air exercises using ship-borne missile systems. Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the Russian military had carried out a 10-day military exercise in the Sea of Japan and the Sea of Okhotsk since June 18.
