According to the Shanghai Securities News, on June 14th, the high-tech industries and technological innovation department of the Lingang New Area Management Committee of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone learned that with the large-scale delivery of COMAC's C919 and the acceleration of CFM's installation certification, the civil aviation industry in Lingang is about to enter a period of outbreak. In the next three years, COMAC will invest in building two C919 production lines and one C929 production line. The Lingang New Area will focus on supporting the mass production of big planes, focusing on the research and development of the "four major areas" of aircraft structure, composite materials, aviation engines, and airborne systems, expanding the development space of the civil aviation industry, and improving the local matching rate of big planes.
