On June 12th, China Association of Automobile Manufacturers stated that the European Commission disregarded the facts in its disclosure of information on the anti-subsidy investigation of Chinese electric vehicles, insisting that there are high subsidies to China's electric automobile industry, which has caused damage to the EU's electric automobile industry. The European Commission plans to impose temporary anti-subsidy duties on electric vehicles export from China. China Association of Automobile Manufacturers deeply regrets this decision and firmly opposes it. China Association of Automobile Manufacturers hopes that the European Commission will not regard the current phase of whole vehicle trade as a long-term threat to industry development, and will not politicize economic and trade issues, abuse trade relief measures, and avoid damaging and distorting the global automotive industry supply chain, which includes the EU, and maintain a fair, non-discriminatory and predictable market environment. We hope that the EU automotive industry will think rationally, take action actively, and work together to maintain a reasonable competition and mutual benefit situation, and promote the healthy and sustainable development of the global automotive industry.
