On May 21, the Singapore Enterprise Development Authority and the Singapore National Artificial Intelligence Core (AisingApore) signed a memorandum of understanding with Microsoft, aiming to help over 1,000 SMEs use Microsoft Copilot to increase productivity within the next two years. The Singapore Enterprise Development Authority will pay a 50% licensing fee for eligible SMEs for a period of 12 months. In addition, the Information and Communications Media Development Authority of Singapore (IMDA) and Microsoft signed a new memorandum of understanding to assist Singaporean enterprises that have reached a mature stage of digitalization, strengthen their capabilities in generative AI, develop and launch customized generative AI solutions. It is expected that more than 200 local SMEs will benefit.
