Musk's friend and venture capitalist David Sacks (David Sacks) has founded a new commercial artificial intelligence company called Glue. The startup is preparing to officially launch the service on Tuesday after months of private testing in 2021. The company's philosophy is to add artificial intelligence services to specific chats, and allow enterprise employees to “invite” Glue's tools to have conversations in video conferencing software such as Google Meet and Zoom. Sachs rose to prominence as a member of PayPal Mafia (“PayPal Mafia”). He previously co-founded Yammer, a corporate social networking service, and sold it to Microsoft for $1.2 billion in 2013. The company said in a statement that Glue will be driven by multiple artificial intelligence models. At launch, it will support OpenAI's GPT-4 and Anthropic's Claude 3, and will select the right model based on the problem. The startup has already received an unknown amount of seed funding from Sachs venture capital company Craft Ventures.
