On April 30, the China Electric Power Enterprise Federation released a summary of national electricity market transactions from January to March 2024. In January-March, electricity trading centers across the country organized a total of 1424.84 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity transactions, an increase of 7.7% over the previous year; the share of electricity consumption in the whole society was 61.0%, a decrease of 1.5 percentage points over the previous year. Among them, the total amount of electricity directly traded in medium- and long-term electricity in the national electricity market was 115.48 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 6% over the previous year. In March, various power trading center organizations across the country completed market transactions of 484.6 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, an increase of 5.6% over the previous year. Among them, the total amount of electricity directly traded in medium- and long-term electricity in the national electricity market was 384.77 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 4.2% over the previous year.
