According to the latest data from Counterpoint Research, as of the fourth quarter of 2023, global PC market shipments fell 0.2% year on year, the eighth consecutive year since the first quarter of 2022 to record a year-on-year decline in shipments. The year-end holiday shopping season did not stimulate a substantial recovery in shipments, and OEM and ODM shipments are expected to resume in the first half of 2024. As of 2023, overall shipments in the global PC market fell 14% year-on-year due to sluggish business and consumer demand. Furthermore, although many products were released in the second half of the year, most of them will not be shipped until 2024, which also dampened the 2023 shipping momentum. On the other hand, PC inventory levels have returned to normal and are close to healthy levels, paving the way for new products to be launched soon.
