According to the China Index Research Institute, according to the survey data of the Baicheng Price Index of the China Real Estate Index system on the construction and second-hand residential sales markets of 100 cities and the rental market in 50 cities across the country, in May 2023, the average price of newly built homes in Baicheng was 16,180 yuan/square meter, stopping rising and falling from month to month, with a decline of 0.01%; the year-on-year decline widened to 0.11%. The average price of second-hand housing in Baicheng was 15,786 yuan/square meter. Affected by the continuous rise in the number of newly listed properties in some cities, wait-and-see sentiment on the demand side became stronger, and the pressure to adjust housing prices further increased. In May, the year-on-year decline in second-hand housing prices in Baicheng increased to 0.25% and 1.52% respectively. The average residential rental market continues to be stable. In May, the average rent for housing in 50 cities across the country was 36.8 yuan/m²/month, up 0.06% month-on-month and down 1.37% year-on-year.
