Eleven departments including the State Administration of Market Regulation, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Commerce, the National Health Commission, the General Administration of Customs, the State Administration of Taxation, the State Internet Information Office, the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the National Drug Administration, the Supreme People's Court, and the Supreme People's Procuratorate recently jointly issued the “Guiding Opinions on Further Strengthening the Supervision of the Medical and Aesthetic Industry”. It is clearly stipulated that medical aesthetic services are medical activities and must abide by the laws and regulations governing the entry of health-related industries. Emphasis is placed on cross-departmental comprehensive supervision. Under the framework of existing laws and regulations, efforts are being made simultaneously from multiple dimensions such as registration management, qualification review, “certificate” and “license” information sharing, briefings and conferences, joint spot checks and inspections, collaborative supervision, and execution links to establish a collaborative and efficiently linked industry supervision system. Coordinate supervision and regulations and promote development, take full account of the rules and characteristics of the medical and aesthetic industry, and make regulations in various areas such as promoting optimization of industry entry conditions, improving registration and management services for market players, and strengthening information disclosure and credit restrictions.
