The People's Government of Guangdong Province issued the “Guangdong Carbon Peak Implementation Plan”. According to the plan, by 2030, the proportion of vehicles powered by new energy and clean energy will reach about 40% that year, sales of electric passenger vehicles will strive to reach more than 30% of new passenger car sales, the carbon emission intensity of operating transportation units converted to turnover will drop 10% compared to 2020, the comprehensive energy consumption of railway units converted to turnover will drop 10% compared to 2020, and oil consumption in land transportation will strive to peak by 2030.
