The total number of passenger buses on expressways nationwide was 744 million, an increase of 14.6% over the same period in 2019 and 21.5% over the same period in 2022. During the seven-day Spring Festival holiday (January 21-27), the country's railways, highways, waterways and civil aviation sent a total of 226 million passengers, down 46.4% from the same period in 2019 and an increase of 71.2% over the same period in 2022. The number of passenger buses on expressways was 306 million, an increase of 15.6% over the same period in 2019 and a 33% increase over the same period in 2022. On January 27 (the sixth day of the first month), the return passenger flow peaked. On that day, the country's railways, highways, waterways and civil aviation sent a total of 50.92 million passengers, down 46.7% from the same period in 2019 and an increase of 83.1% over the same period in 2022.
