Today, Hong Kong stocks opened 0.36% higher. By midday, the Hang Seng index was up 0.92% at 26198.65 points, the state-owned enterprises index was up 0.76%, and the red chip index was up 2.28%. Consumer, financial and real estate rose, with China Resources Land up more than 5%, leading the blue chip, China International Capital Corporation up more than 6%, and Yihai International up 10%. Auto stocks are strong, with XPeng Inc. up nearly 11 per cent and Byd Company Limited up more than 4 per cent. The "Evergrande system" rose collectively, with Hengten.com up more than 32%, Evergrande Motor up 8%, and China Evergrande up nearly 7%.
