拉斯維加斯金沙遭前合夥人在澳門索償120億美元

Las Vegas Sands was claimed by a former partner in Macau for US $12 billion

即市頭條 ·  Jun 9, 2021 09:46

Sands China (01928.HK) parent company Las Vegas Sands in the US was accused by former partner Yamai Entertainment Chairman Hao Yisheng of violating a contract to obtain a casino licence in Macau and seeking compensation from a Macao court for 70 per cent of Las Vegas Sands' profits in Macau between 2004 and 2022, worth about US $12 billion.

The Macao court will begin its trial on June 16, and the lawsuit between Las Vegas Sands and Hao Jiesheng began in the United States as early as 2007. After the case was dismissed in the United States in 2012 due to statute of limitations and procedural reasons, Hao turned to suing Las Vegas Sands in Macau.

The incident began in 2001, when Las Vegas Sands and Hao submitted a bid for Macau gaming concession. Las Vegas Sands later partnered with Galaxy Entertainment (00027.HK), and the bid submitted was similar to Hao's original bid.
