Recently, various states in the US have made every effort to encourage residents to get the COVID-19 vaccine, and various fancy rewards are endless. Some states offered “grand prizes” of one million dollars or even five million dollars. Recently, West Virginia came up with a “killer weapon” and added many Americans' favorites — guns — to the prize.
The state will run a weekly lottery from June 20 to August 4, and any resident who has received at least one dose of the vaccine can participate in the lottery. There is only one prize, and the winner gets $1 million.
In the raffle on “Father's Day” on June 20, the state will give away 5 custom hunting rifles and 5 custom shotguns to the winners.
Other prizes include full scholarships, custom trucks, and lifetime hunting and fishing licenses.
In addition to the lottery, West Virginia will give away savings bonds or gift cards worth $100 to all vaccinated people aged 16-35 across the state.
