Us President Joe Biden plans to spend $6 trillion on infrastructure, education and health care in fiscal year 2022, according to a document obtained by the media. The proposal is expected to be presented on Friday.
President Joe Biden will propose a $6 trillion budget on Friday that will bring federal spending to its highest level since World War II and a deficit of more than $1.3 trillion over the next 10 years, the report said.
The budget request requires the federal government to spend $6 trillion in fiscal year 2022 and increase total spending to $8.2 trillion by 2031.
The spending increase was driven by two parts of Biden's agenda, upgrading America's infrastructure and significantly expanding the social safety net, which are included in his American jobs plan and American family plan, as well as other plans to increase discretionary spending.
