According to the announcement of the Macau tourist Office, in order to implement the "2021 Plan to protect Employment, stabilize the economy and take care of the people's livelihood", the Macao SAR Government has implemented a series of tax concessions and expanded the scope of exemption from tourism tax, which is expected to benefit more than 370 tourism service venues, involving a budget of about 379 million patacas, in order to boost the economy and inject impetus into the recovery of Macau's tourism industry.

According to the provisions on tourism tax exemption in the 2021 Budget as amended by Law No. 3 / 2021, the relevant venues may be exempted from 5 per cent tourism tax from 11 May to 31 December 2021. (wl/)
