In February this year, the Intermediate people's Court of Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province found out that Meituan had sent some messages to merchants that slandered the ele.me platform and asked for "one of two" exclusive cooperation to constitute unfair competition, and awarded Meituan 1 million yuan in compensation to ele.me. It is reported that Meituan has filed an appeal.
In April this year, the Intermediate people's Court of Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province found that Meituan had obviously committed unfair competition and awarded Meituan 352000 yuan in compensation to ele.me for economic losses.
After being placed on file for investigation, Meituan quickly responded that he would actively cooperate with the regulatory authorities in the investigation, further improve the level of business compliance management, protect the legitimate rights and interests of users and all parties, promote the long-term and healthy development of the industry, and earnestly fulfill their social responsibilities.

According to the program "the Director of the Bureau follows the process" of Beijing Satellite TV, Wang Lin, deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of people and Social Affairs, recently had a dialogue with the representative of Meituan company with the inspection team after experiencing the difficulty of delivery. It involves the labor relations, insurance and other issues of takeout employees.
In the program, the representative of Meituan said that at present, there are nearly 10 million registered takeout workers on Meituan's platform. These 10 million people are not Meituan's employees, but belong to outsourced relationships. The inspection team asked: "after there is a problem, is your platform responsible for compensation, or is the supplier responsible for compensation?" Deputy Meituan said that there is commercial insurance to bear the burden, and 3 yuan per day is deducted from the commission of the takeout staff.
