Goldman Sachs analysts Nicholas Snowdon, Daniel Sharp, and Jeffrey Currie said in a research report that as the global green energy transition drives demand, if the price of copper continues to stay around 9,000 US dollars per ton, then by the beginning of 2023, global inventories will be exhausted. To avoid this, prices will reach $11,000 per ton within 12 months and then rise to an average of $15,000 per ton in 2025.
