According to IFR reports, Zhihu plans to go to the US for an IPO, with a financing amount of 1 billion US dollars.

Earlier, in August 2019, Zhihu announced the completion of the F round of financing, totaling US$434 million. This was Zhihu's largest round of financing so far. Kuaishou led investment, Baidu followed suit, and Tencent and Today Capital's original investors continued to participate.

Zhihu's Series E financing was completed in August 2018, amounting to US$270 million.

According to public media reports, Zhihu's financing information is as follows:

• In January 2011, it received an angel round of financing of several million yuan invested by Innovation Factory;

• The multi-million dollar A round was invested by Qiming Venture Capital in January 2012;

• In June 2014, it received $22 million in Series B financing from Saifu Fund and Qiming Venture Capital;

• It received Series C financing in September 2015. Investors include Tencent and Sogou;

• In January 2017, it received a round D financing of 100 million US dollars led by Today's Capital. The original directors and shareholders, including Tencent, Sogou, Today Capital, Innovation Factory, and Qiming Venture Capital, all followed suit. The valuation exceeded 1 billion US dollars after the completion of this round of financing.
