The first major direction of wireless evolution is to build an intelligent and efficient wireless network.It mainly includes the introduction of five key enabling technologies, such as native AI to enhance 5G intelligence, end-to-end service experience quality coordination, green energy saving, low-cost coverage and 5G/4G multi-network cooperation, to improve the efficiency of 5G network, especially to support low-cost and smooth upgrade of 4G/5G network.
The second largest direction of wireless evolution is the existing network performance enhancement technology.It mainly includes five key enabling technologies, including uplink capability enhancement, large-scale MIMO, URLLC enhancement, low-cost Internet of things and mobility enhancement, which are aimed at continuous enhancement in eMBB (enhanced Mobile Broadband), mMTC (large-scale machine communication), URLLC (ultra-high reliability, ultra-low latency communication), especially for large uplink services such as machine vision and immersive services such as AR/VR (augmented reality / virtual reality). Technologies such as SUL (supplementary uplink) enhancement and multicarrier transmission are introduced to achieve the goals of uplink ultra-1Gbps transmission rate, ultra-low extreme delay, and 99.9999% reliability under large services, so as to continuously improve the performance of the 5G network and improve the network capability.
The third major direction of wireless evolution is the technology of maximizing spectrum efficiency.Mainly to support the flexible use of full-band technologies, including the introduction of 6GHz and millimeter wave, including more IMT (International Mobile Communication) band applications, flexible duplex and full-duplex, dynamic spectrum sharing, flexible spectrum access and elastic cell, in order to reconstruct the use of spectrum below 100GHz and maximize the spectrum benefit under multi-frequency and multi-standard network.
The fourth major direction of wireless evolution is new industries and new applications enabling technology.Mainly some enabling technologies that support new industries and new applications, including centimeter-level high-precision positioning and integrated sensing, integration of heaven and earth, high interactive broadband communication, broadcast and multicast, multi-terminal cooperation and network slicing, expand the new capability dimension of 5G, meet the diversified needs of thousands of industries, and help open up new commercial space in the future.
Prior to this, China Mobile Limited put forward the concept of Zhijian 5G technology. "Zhi" emphasizes integration as a means, while "Jane" follows the principle of simplification.
