苹果、亚马逊暂停Parler社交网络应用商店和网络托管服务

Apple and Amazon suspended Parler's app stores and web hosting services. They say the social media is not doing enough to prevent the spread of incitement to violence posts.

Prior to this move by Apple and Amazon, Google took similar action last Friday. Parler is favored by many of Trump's supporters. Trump was permanently suspended from tweeting last Friday, and Parler is seen as a safe haven for those expelled from Twitter.

“We've suspended Parler's access to the App Store until they resolve these issues,” Apple said in a statement on Saturday.

Apple asked Parler to submit a detailed review plan within 24 hours, and indicated that participants used the service to coordinate the entire process of the siege of the US Capitol on Wednesday.

Amazon's move is to take the site offline unless it finds a new company to proxy its services.

An email sent to Parler by the AWS Trust and Security Team shows that Amazon suspended the services provided to Parler by the Web Services (AWS) department because they failed to effectively handle increasing violent content and in violation of AWS's terms of service.

An Amazon spokesperson confirmed the authenticity of the email.

Because Parler poses a “very real risk” to public safety, Amazon Web Services plans to suspend Parler's account at 11:59 p.m. PST on Sunday.
