On December 18, the people's Government of Bishan District of Chongqing andKonka GroupCo-sponsored "2020 Chongqing Micro LED Industry Innovation Forum and Konka Semiconductor display Technology and Product Conference" was held ceremoniously. Konka Group, together with the government, industrial chain enterprises, industry experts and scholars, jointly discussed the technological breakthrough and industrialization development of Micro LED industry.

It is understood that Micro LED is a new type of self-luminous display technology, which can realize the thin film, miniaturization and array of LED backlight, and realize the individual driving luminescence of each pixel. At present, this technology has been recognized as "the next generation mainstream display technology" by the screen display industry. Li Hongtao, vice president of Konka Group and chairman of Chongqing Konka Optoelectronic Technology Research Institute, said in an interview with the media after the meeting that the industry used to call the chip size below 100um as Micro LED. Now, as the technical difficulty increases, Konka believes that this standard needs to be raised below 50um.

At the same time, he analyzed the Micro LED technology layout of Konka Group and said that Konka Group calls the technology to be developed Micro LED and the market-oriented one MiniLED. In the future, Konka Group will implement the development strategy of "two-wheel drive", continue to strengthen research and development in areas where technological breakthroughs have not been achieved, and do a good job in industrialization where technological breakthroughs have been achieved.

At the forum, Konka Group also released the APHAEA Micro LED Future screen Product Matrix, focusing on the world's first Micro LED watch with P0.12 AM-LTPS Micro LED microcrystal screen, glass-based P0.375 Micro LED display and other multi-scene and multi-form products.
