US House Speaker Pelosi said on Monday that the Democratic Party is waiting for the Trump administration to respond to their “several concerns,” including a nationwide testing and tracking plan for the coronavirus.
In a letter to colleagues, Pelosi said, “We must reach an agreement as soon as possible. But we cannot accept the government's refusal to contain the virus, honor our heroes, or put money in the American people's pockets.”
Pelosi said, “It is now ten days since Mnuchin announced on CNBC that he will accept our test plan, and the Trump administration still refuses to do so.”
