Twitter has refused to unblock the New York Post account since Wednesday unless the newspaper deleted six tweets about Hunt Biden, the son of Democratic presidential candidate Biden, the New York Post reported.
San Francisco-based social media platforms Twitter and Facebook Inc came under attack this week after the two sites banned users from sharing a New York Post article about leaked emails from Hunt Biden, the son of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.
The leaked documents show that Hunt Biden arranged an "opportunity" for a Ukrainian company executive to meet with the vice president of the United States. Biden's campaign said there had never been such a meeting on Biden's schedule.
Twitter had previously said that the New York Post's report on Hunt Biden violated the site's hacker media policy banning the display of "hacked" messages, but the New York Post called the accusation "baseless".
Twitter confirmed to Fox Business that the New York Post had been told the "necessary condition" to unlock the account, that is, to delete Biden's adverse reports.
