The application scale of Tencent's first self-developed Xinghai server in the cloud has increased by more than 30 times, and the number of customers has increased by more than 50 times, making it the fastest growing server product in the industry since its launch, Tencent Cloud disclosed on Sept. 30.

Currently, large customers in Tencent's cloud e-commerce, education, games and other industries are widely using Xingxinghai SA2 Cloud Server to provide computing power support for their business. In the medium-and long-tail developer circle, Xingxinghai SA2 Cloud Server is also popular because of its high performance-to-price ratio. Internally, Xinghai SA2 CVM has also widely supported a large number of businesses owned by Tencent (00700), such as Tencent Conference, Tencent Education, Tencent Advertising, Wechat, QQ, Weishi and so on.

Tencent Cloud's first self-developed Xinghai server is a server product made for the cloud. Combined with the needs of cloud computing scenarios, it has carried out independent design and development in the aspects of performance, energy efficiency, security features and reliability. At the same time, it fully cooperates with superior software technologies such as Tencent Cloud virtualization to achieve a price-to-performance ratio of more than 30% of the corresponding Xinghai SA2 cloud server.

With the further surge in customer demand in various industries, Tencent Cloud also said that it will further accelerate the deployment of Xinghai SA2 CVM in more global data centers, so that customers can adopt this cost-effective CVM product nearby.

It is understood that Xing Xinghai is the overall brand of Tencent Cloud self-research server. Prior to this, Tencent Cloud also set up the first hardware engineering laboratory, "Xingxinghai Lab", which is responsible for the research of cutting-edge hardware technology in server and related fields.
