Unified purchasing power has been online for a while. Summarizing it in one sentence: Using it wisely can make our transactions “more convenient, efficient, worry-free and free”!

Today's class delegates will share its “basic operation” with all fellow students.

First, purchasing power is the amount of money you can use on your current account.

When your account isSecurities financing accountAt that time, Futu will evaluate the assets in your Futu securities account and the cash treasure assets in your fund account.Calculate a maximum purchasing power that can be used to trade securities and break new ground, directly superimposed on existing purchasing power.

upgrade toUnify purchasing powerThe maximum purchasing power can then be used in any securities market.

Let's take a look at the usage scenarios.

I. Usage scenarios

Currently, the unified purchasing power upgrade is only for financing accounts, and the additional purchasing power of Cash Bao assets applies to securities trading (with the exception of short options) and opening up new scenarios for Hong Kong stocks.

  • Securities trading: Cash treasure assets associated with the trading account and market are included in cash purchasing power, that is, the amount of cash that can be purchased on a single page of a transaction will increase accordingly (like cash assets, leverage can be added to support securities financing transactions), and the rest is included in financing purchasing power.

  • Hong Kong stocks break new ground: Cash Bank assets associated with opening a new account are included in the maximum amount of cash available, and the rest is included in Futu Finance.

Give me two chestnuts!

1.Are you fully stocked with US stocks and want to buy Hong Kong stocks, but you don't have any cash in Hong Kong dollars?(How do you make an immediate purchase when your account is low on funds?)

2.Holding a cash treasure and worried about missing the right trading time while waiting for redemption?(When all the money is in cash, how can I buy it right away?)

II. Activation steps

Open an Account/Trading>>>Swipe the top tab bar to the left>>>Select “Unify Purchasing Power”

III. Explanation of fees

Commissions, platform usage fees, etc. will be charged according to the package selected by the customer.

An arrears will occur when the transaction amount is greater than the available cash in the current trading account.

During the daily automatic redemption period, the system will automatically redeem the corresponding net worth of cash funds based on account arrears (including frozen funds for IPO subscriptions). If there is still an arrears in the account after repayment, corresponding interest charges will be incurred according to the amount of financing actually used.

Note: Automatic redemption is only performed when an arrears are generated from securities accounts linked to the same market. When arrears are generated across accounts, you need to arrange repayment yourself. You can repay the arrears through currency exchange, inter-account transfers, deposits, etc.

IV. Other Reminders

1. When using unified purchasing power to generate financing, what is the financing interest rate?

Consistent with financing interest rates in various markets: The annualized interest rate of HKD is 6.8%, the annualized interest rate of the US dollar is 4.8%, and the annualized interest rate of the RMB is 8.8%.

For example: a loan of HK$10,000, a daily interest rate of only HK$1.86, a loan of 10,000 US dollars, a daily interest of only $1.32, a loan of 10,000 yuan, a daily interest of only RMB 2.41.

Note: The actual exchange rate is subject to disclosure on Futu's website.

2. What are the risks associated with upgrading to unified purchasing power?

  • Currently, unified purchasing power is for the time being only for financing accounts. Only the purchasing power of financing accounts will increase, and it will not take effect on cash accounts. The cash account can first be upgraded to a financing account, and after the upgrade, the cashbao assets are converted and included in the purchasing power of the securities account.

  • The total amount of unified purchasing power is limited, and there is a possibility that it will be fully occupied. It will resume when the total purchasing power quota is released.

3. Is the added purchasing power equal to the market value of Cash Bank?

Increased purchasing powerCalculated at 95% based on the market value of your Cash Bank holdingsAt the same time, adjustments will be made in line with the company's operating conditions. Therefore, the added purchasing power is not entirely equal to the total market value of the Cash Bank Fund.

4. What will happen to my account after turning off Unified Purchasing Power?

After closing, your purchasing power in each securities market will be calculated separately, and your Cash Bank assets will no longer be included in the unified purchasing power. At the same time, the risk control status of the account will be re-assessed, which may result in additional security deposits being generated on your account.
