Betta's revenue for the second quarter was RMB 2,508 million, up 34% year on year, higher than Bloomberg's unanimous estimate ($2,413 million); net profit for the quarter was 322.9 million yuan, up 514% year on year, higher than Bloomberg's unanimous forecast ($282 million).

Officials said that the increase in platform revenue and profit was mainly driven by multiple factors such as the number of paying users, the increase in the amount paid per user, and the increase in brand influence.

In terms of user data, Betta's monthly active users this quarter were 165 million, an increase of 2% over the previous year. The total number of paying users reached 7.6 million, an increase of 13.4% over the previous year. The payment amount per user was increased to 305 yuan.

Looking ahead to the third quarter, Betta expects revenue to reach between 2,640 billion yuan and 2,680 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 42.1% to 44.2%.
