Today (27th), Renren (RENN.US) announced the appointment of Mr. Lin Cong as the new independent director of the company's board of directors, effective from July 27, 2020.

Meanwhile, Mr. Tianruo Pu resigned as a director of the company and the three committees of the board of directors, effective July 27, 2020. Mr. Tianruo Pu resigned due to personal reasons, not because of any disagreement with Renren over the operation or any other matter.

After the changes are completed, the company's board of directors will continue to be composed of five members, three of whom are independent directors. The Audit Committee will be composed of Mr. Lin Cong and Ms. Hui Huang, chaired by Mr. Lin Cong; the Remuneration Committee will be composed of Ms. Hui Huang and Mr. Lin Cong, chaired by Ms. Hui Huang; and the Corporate Governance and Nomination Committee will be composed of Mr. Lin Cong and Mr. Chuanfu Wang, chaired by Mr. Lin Cong.

According to reports, Mr. Lin Cong has been the vice president of 58 Tongcheng Group since March 2017. He is currently also a director of KXIN.US (KXIN.US), UXIN.US (UXIN.US), and the Chinese used car inspection company Chaboshi.cn. From February 2014 to 2017, he was the co-founder and CEO of the Chinese used car chain Youche.com.
