The three major indexes of US stocks closed down overnight, with the Nasdaq down 2.29%, the S & P 500 down 1.23% and the Dow down 1.31%. Technology stocks generally fell, with Apple Inc and Microsoft Corp down more than 4%, Alphabet Inc-CL C and Amazon.Com Inc all down more than 3%. Tesla, Inc. fell nearly 5 per cent.
