Domestic media reported that Apple (AAPL.US) plans to launch its first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Fold, in the third quarter of this year, coinciding with the release of the iPhone 18 Pro series. Reports suggest that the iPhone Fold is expected to be priced between $1,800 and $2,500.
The report indicates that the iPhone Fold features a horizontal inward-folding design, with an external screen size of approximately 5.49 inches, expanding to 7.76 inches when unfolded, which is close to the size of an iPad mini. The imaging system is equipped with a dual-lens setup featuring a 48-megapixel sensor; it will be powered by the A20 Pro chip, with 12GB of RAM and a battery capacity exceeding 5,000mAh. Additionally, the inner screen integrates an under-display front-facing camera to achieve a full-screen effect and supports side-mounted fingerprint recognition functionality.
