Hang Seng Indexes Company: HSBC (00011.HK) will be removed from multiple indices following its privatization.

Hang Seng Indexes Company stated that if HSBC's (00005.HK) privatization of Hang Seng Bank (00011.HK) is approved, Hang Seng Bank’s shares are expected to be delisted from the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, with the last trading day on January 14, 2026. According to the current timetable outlined in the scheme document, Hang Seng Bank will be removed from the following indices and their sub-indices at the closing price on January 14.

Hang Seng Bank will be removed from indices and their sub-indices without a reserve list of constituent stocks, including the Hang Seng Index (including its sub-index, the Hang Seng Financials Industry Index), the Hang Seng Composite Index (Finance, Large Cap, Large & Mid Cap, etc.), the Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Benchmark Index, the Hang Seng Equal Weight Index, the Hang Seng High Dividend Yield Index, the Hang Seng Low Volatility Index, the Hang Seng Stock Connect Hong Kong Companies Index, the Hang Seng ESG Index, among others.

For indices with a reserve list of constituent stocks, upon Hang Seng Bank’s delisting, its position as a constituent stock will be replaced by the following stocks: MMG Limited (01208.HK) for the Hang Seng Hong Kong 35 Index; CK Asset Holdings (01113.HK) for the Hang Seng Mainland and Hong Kong Corporate Sustainability Index and the Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Index; Mingyang Smart Energy (301291.SZ) for the Hang Seng Stock Connect Greater Bay Area Composite Index Series; China State Construction International Holdings (03311.HK) for the Hang Seng Stock Connect Greater Bay Area Regional Leaders Index; Hengan International Group (01044.HK) for the Hang Seng ESG 50 Index; Yiwu China Commodity City (600415.SH) for the Hang Seng Stock Connect (Selected Enterprises) 300 Index; Yanghe Brewery (002304.SZ) for the Hang Seng Stock Connect (Selected Enterprises) High Dividend Yield Index; and Man Wah Holdings (01999.HK) for the Hang Seng High Dividend 30 Index.
