As many as 90% of the investors surveyed expressed interest in sustainable investment, and 42% said they planned to invest 5% to 15% of their money in sustainable assets over the next three years.

All Hong Kong investors who have not been involved in sustainable investments in the past have expressed interest in investing in related areas, while 78 per cent of respondents who hold the relevant investments continue to express interest. Of the wealthy and high value-added investors in Hong Kong who have dabbled in related investments, 59 per cent said they were considering investing 5 per cent to 10 per cent in sustainable investments, and 43 per cent said they were considering increasing the percentage of related investments to 25 per cent or more.

Standard Chartered Private Bank has released the survey for the third year in a row, covering about 1000 investors from Hong Kong, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom, mainly wealthy and high net worth investors. (sw/k)
