On July 9, according to foreign media reports, due to the sudden acceleration problem of Model 3, the electric vehicle manufacturerTeslaSued by more than 20 car owners.
The lawsuit alleges that in addition to Model 3, Model X and Model S also have similar “sudden acceleration” issues. This problem causes Model X, Model S, and Model 3 to suddenly accelerate without driver prompts. These cars can accelerate at full speed or drive at high speed even if no one steps on the accelerator pedal.
Tesla did not directly respond to this issue, but instead stated that the company's cars had no “unexpected acceleration” problems, and that the car would only accelerate when the driver told the vehicle to speed up.
According to reports, the lawsuit was initially filed by 8 plaintiffs from 6 US states in January of this year, then expanded to 23 in 11 states on Monday local time.
This isn't the first time Tesla has faced a lawsuit. In June of this year, Tesla faced a collective lawsuit from car owners. The reason was that the Model 3 had paint degradation problems in cold weather, and the car owners sought financial compensation.
In August of last year, Tesla faced a class action lawsuit from car owners due to car owners' cars being reduced in mileage following software upgrades.
Previously, Tesla was also repeatedly sued in connection with the fatal Autopilot crash. Additionally, the company has been sued for defaulting on $1.77 million to a French supplier. (Little fox)
