On the morning of July 9, Sina Technology reported that the 2020 World Artificial Intelligence Conference Cloud Summit opened today.TencentGroup Chief Operating Officer Ren Yuxin delivered a keynote speech. He believes that after this epidemic, there are no pure traditional enterprises in China.

Ma Huateng, chairman of the board of directors and CEO of Tencent Group, was not allowed to attend the event due to his physical condition, but he said in a video format that Tencent is researching and applying new technology every day. In the future, Tencent's East China headquarters will be rooted in Shanghai and will increase investment in artificial intelligence research and new infrastructure.

In his speech, Ren Yuxin said that over the past few years, Tencent has invested in dozens of startups in Shanghai. After this outbreak, Ren Yuxin explained Tencent's three new thoughts:

The first is new growth. The normalization of the epidemic has made resuming work and resuming production challenging, and artificial intelligence has provided great help. For example, Yunsheng Pharmaceutical, an artificial intelligence drug discovery platform developed by Tencent, is now fully open to researchers. Ren Yuxin said that after this epidemic, there are no pure traditional enterprises in China, and many traditional enterprises are undergoing digital transformation. This is an opportunity for industrial transformation.

The second one is a new game. Ren Yuxin revealed that Tencent is fully supporting Shanghai in building an e-sports capital. In the future, Tencent's series of major e-sports professional leagues will be in Shanghai one after another. At the same time, Tencent's research on artificial intelligence in games is also being carried out simultaneously. For example, Tencent's Wang Zhe Rongyao AI has reached a professional level.

The third is the new generation. The post-95 era has become digital natives, and the new infrastructure will accelerate the stimulation of the ingenuity of a new generation of young people. Ren Yuxin revealed that the number of jobs related to the WeChat ecosystem increased by 600,000 in the first four months of this year, making it a new stage for college graduates to find employment. In the future, addressing issues such as privacy and security, algorithm discrimination, and data divides will be Tencent's focus.

Ren Yuxin said that in addition to investing in dozens of startups in Shanghai, including Meituan Review, Xiaohongshu,Bilibili,PinduoduoOther companies are also growing rapidly, and more and more unicorns are appearing. Precisely because of this soil for innovation, Tencent hopes to take root in Shanghai. (Zijian)
