The Central Kowloon Route (Yau Ma Tei section) will open this Sunday (21st), and Hutchison Telecommunications Hong Kong (00215.HK) has announced the completion of network deployment and 5G golden spectrum coverage in the area. The high-capacity and fully covered network experience is expected to be available to users upon the official opening.
Hutchison Telecommunications Hong Kong stated that its 5G network already covers all vehicular tunnels in Hong Kong. Recently, it activated the 5G golden spectrum in the Tseung Kwan O Tunnel, bringing the total number of tunnels with deployed 5G golden spectrum to eight. The company has now begun network deployment for the Central Kowloon Route (Kowloon Bay section) and aims to be ready before its official opening next year to provide services to customers.
