DJ BlackBerry Prepares Staged Return of Workers to the Office -- Market Talk

15:40 ET - BlackBerry is preparing a staged return of its employees to the office, Chief Financial Officer Steve Rai said Thursday. The company, best known for its once popular handheld devices, is following a three-phased approach, Rai said. BlackBerry is currently in the first phase with essential workers and plans to bring about 60% of employees back to the office in the second phase, followed by about 90% in the third phase, he said. BlackBerry, which in recent years has pivoted toward security software and services, has about 3,500 employees globally. The company is currently reviewing its real-estate footprint, Rai said.
