Meanwhile, $Apple (AAPL.US)$ the official website experienced temporary slowdowns due to excessive traffic, and “Can't get the iPhone 17” quickly topped the Weibo热搜榜 (Weibo Hot Search), showcasing consumers' overwhelming enthusiasm for purchasing.

This pre-sale phenomenon exceeded market expectations, demonstrating Apple’s unparalleled brand appeal in the high-end smartphone market.

Shipments are scheduled until October.

Reporters learned from Apple's official website, Apple's Tmall flagship store, and Apple's JD.com self-operated flagship store that, as of press time, all models in the iPhone 17 series have been sold out during their first release.

Apple's JD.com self-operated flagship store has reopened reservations, and as of now, the total number of reservations for the entire iPhone 17 series has exceeded 2 million. Meanwhile, at Apple's Tmall flagship store, delivery times for the iPhone 17 series are estimated within 39 days.

According to Apple's official website, the delivery time for the iPhone 17 series has been scheduled for after October 15.

On September 10, Apple held its fall product launch event, unveiling the new iPhone 17 series as well as a brand-new model, the iPhone Air.

The iPhone 17 series features upgrades in several aspects. First, the mobile SoC chip, Apple A19/A19 Pro, has been further upgraded, with its AI computing power reaching 45 TOPS, which will further enhance on-device AI capabilities. Additionally, improvements in heat dissipation allow for better performance of the chip. Second, the rear cameras of the iPhone 17 Pro series have all been upgraded to 48 megapixels, and the body adopts an aluminum unibody design and second-generation ceramic shield front cover, among other enhancements. Finally, this year Apple introduced a 2TB storage version for the iPhone 17 Pro Max for the first time, pushing the highest retail price of the iPhone even higher.

Notably, unlike previous years, the 128GB storage configuration has been discontinued for the iPhone 17, making 256GB the minimum storage specification. This means that consumers purchasing a new device will receive more storage space at the same starting price of RMB 5,999.

Additionally, users planning to purchase the iPhone 17 standard model have another piece of good news: the iPhone 17 standard model is eligible for national subsidies. According to the iPhone 17 page on the Tmall Apple Store flagship store, the 256GB version of the iPhone 17 standard model supports national subsidies from its initial release, with an instant discount of RMB 500.

The iPhone Air is a new model introduced by Apple, focusing on being a 'lightweight flagship.' With a thickness of 5.6 millimeters, it is the thinnest iPhone in Apple's history. This model uses a downgraded version of the A19 Pro chip, features a single camera, and incorporates eSIM technology.

Apple-related stocks gain attention

Following the release of the iPhone 17 series, the market reacted strongly to Apple’s new products. Recently, $Apple Ecosystem (LIST1166.HK)$ remained highly active, with multiple stocks showing strong performance.

SPDB International believes that Apple's iPhone has once again entered a strong product cycle. This year’s iPhone Air and next year’s foldable screen will drive the iPhone into a new innovation cycle. Meanwhile, Apple’s deployment and execution in on-device AI have become more prominent, potentially accelerating the completion of its commercial closed loop in AI.

Hua Xin Securities stated that for the iPhone 17 series, the A19 chip shows significant performance improvements, enabling better execution of on-device AI tasks; the iPhone 17 Pro series is equipped with a new VC vapor chamber, addressing previous heat dissipation issues of Apple phones during high-performance operations; and the iPhone Air adopts an all-new ultra-thin design. Additionally, the iPhone 17 series features a ceramic shield front cover, enhancing product durability. At the same time, it is expected that Apple Intelligence will introduce more functions, applicable in a wider range of scenarios. Looking ahead to 2026, Hua Xin Securities anticipates that Apple will release a brand-new foldable phone, expressing optimism about new investment opportunities for Apple’s supply chain in the medium to long term, and maintaining a 'recommended' rating for the consumer electronics industry.

BOC Securities noted that this Apple launch event brought a major redesign to the iPhone’s appearance. Moreover, due to factors such as improved cost-performance ratio for the standard version of the iPhone 17, future sales are expected to achieve robust growth. Considering the upcoming implementation of Apple’s AI innovations and the potential release of heavyweight new products like foldable phones in 2026, Apple’s supply chain is poised for a new round of growth.
