ETF Midday Review | The Innovative Drugs Sector saw a significant decline, with the Yinhua CSI Innovative Drugs Industry ETF falling by 4%.

On July 2, Gelonghui reported that the three major A-shares indexes collectively fell in the morning session. By the time of the midday break, the Shanghai Composite Index dropped by 0.04%, the Shenzhen Component Index fell by 0.42%, the GEM Index declined by 0.84%, and the Beijing Stock Exchange 50 Index decreased by 0.94%. The total market transaction volume reached 867.4 billion yuan, a decrease of 113.8 billion yuan compared to the previous day, with over 3,200 individual stocks declining. In terms of sectors, Offshore Equipment, Farming, Photovoltaics, and Nonferrous Metals saw significant gains, while Computing Hardware, Semiconductors, Brain-computer Interface, and Diversified Financials experienced considerable declines. In the ETF sector, Construction Machinery stocks performed well, with Dachen Funds’ Construction Machinery ETF increasing by 1.93% and GF Funds’ Construction Machinery ETF rising by 1.64%. The Photovoltaic sector was active, with Yinhua Funds’ Photovoltaic 50 ETF and Huitianfu Funds’ Photovoltaic Leaders ETF gaining 1.77% and 1.68%, respectively. The dividend strategy ETFs were in the green, with Invesco’s Hong Kong Dividend Low Volatility ETF and Penghua Funds’ Cash Flow ETF800 rising by 1.67% and 1.36%. The Innovative Drugs sector had major declines, with the Innovative Drugs ETF from Fuguo, the Hong Kong Stock Connect Innovative Drugs ETF, and the Guotai Innovative Drugs ETF falling by 4.72%, 3.19%, and 2.7%, respectively. The Hong Kong Stock Connect 100 ETF, which surged yesterday, dropped by 3%. The military industry sector adjusted, with the Aerospace ETF down by 2.4%. The computing sector fell, with both the Cloud 50 ETF and the 5G Communication ETF down by 2%.
