China Mobile Hong Kong has completed the 5G upgrade project at the Lok Ma Chau Control Point and the High-speed Rail Hong Kong West Kowloon Station.

CMHK stated that after successfully completing the 5G upgrade at Luohu Port last year, they have recently completed the multi-band 5G upgrade project at Lok Ma Chau Port and High-speed Rail Hong Kong West Kowloon Station, and deployed innovative "platform mini-stations" at multiple MTR stations.

To enhance the mobile data processing capacity during peak hours, CMHK indicated that it has completed network upgrades for the 3.3GHz, 3.5GHz, and 4.9GHz Gold frequency bands at the aforementioned locations, covering the entrance and exit areas of Lok Ma Chau MTR Station and the immigration hall, as well as the core areas of foot traffic at High-speed Rail Hong Kong West Kowloon Station from levels B1 to B3.

Test results show that the downlink speed at Lok Ma Chau Port reaches 1,025 Mbps and the uplink speed is 123 Mbps; the downlink speed at High-speed Rail Hong Kong West Kowloon Station reaches 1,142 Mbps and the uplink speed is 125 Mbps.
