Wang Hang, Senior Director of Treasury and Project Financing at CLP HOLDINGS (00002.HK), stated in a newspaper interview that in recent years, CLP has ventured into different currencies for financing, choosing not only traditional Hong Kong Dollar and US Dollar but also Chinese Yuan, Japanese Yen, and Australian Dollar, expanding the investor base and helping to increase international recognition of Hong Kong blue-chip companies.
She indicated that during the process of issuing Kangaroo Bonds in Australia, Korean banks subscribed, reflecting that a diversified strategy can enhance financing efficiency. In the future, CLP will also attempt to find suitable bond issuance opportunities in more regions, such as exploring Euro bonds and Chinese Yuan 'Panda Bonds'.
