The Reserve Bank of India said in a statement that it plans to buy government securities through two open market operations, each for 150 billion Indian rupees.
The first auction will be held on March 24 and the second on March 30.
The central bank pointed out that there are serious dislocations and pressures associated with coronavirus in open market operations in some areas of financial markets.
