The Government published a list of the first batch of pilot projects for the Low Air Economy “Regulatory Sandbox”, which received a total of 72 applications. After review by the Working Group on Low Air Economy Development, it decided to implement 38 projects. Applicants include Mainland and local institutions, university research institutes, public and commercial institutions. Projects including China Mobile Hong Kong, China Electric Power, Fire Department, Roads Department, University of Science and Technology, Kangaroo Limited (03690.HK), Electric Ying (00008.HK) subsidiary, HKU, Shun Fung and the Health Authority. The content covers multiple areas such as emergency relief, logistics distribution, repair and safety inspection, monitoring, low air infrastructure facilities, and different application scenarios.
Chief Executive Officer John Lee Ka-chiu said that the pilot project will continue to be developed, make the city people see the insights and gain practical benefits of the low-space economy, while allowing governments and the industry to simulate multi-site perspectives, multi-route and low-space management boards, share data and experience, lead regulations, build, etc. Work with different layers.
