On March 7, 2025, NTT Data Corporation (hereinafter referred to as NTT Data) was awarded the "SAP Project Award," an excellence award given to partner companies of SAP, at the "SAP AWARD OF EXCELLENCE 2025" selected by SAP Japan, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as SAP Japan). The project that won the award is NTT Data's company-wide project "Project GAIA." In this project, utilizing the track record and knowledge of services that have been provided to customers over many years as an SAP partner, a complex and large-scale overhaul of the company-wide core system was implemented using SAP Ariba, SAP Concur, and SAP S/4HANA simultaneously. This achievement contributed to "enhancing customer value × enabling employee self-realization," leading to the award.

The initiatives of our group regarding SAP.
Our group has a proven track record of supporting SAP service implementation for over 35 years and provides a wide range of consulting, business transformation, project implementation, and operational services as a strategic Global partner (Global Strategic Services Partner) of SAP. With more than 20,000 SAP professionals in over 50 countries and regions, we have contributed to solving customers' management issues through over 1,300 SAP S/4HANA projects to date.
About NTT Data's company-wide project "Project GAIA."
The conventional core internal system that was overhauled in 2006 experienced decreased usability due to aging IT architecture, as well as reduced accessibility to information caused by system construction at the business unit level. As a result, business processes were not adequately adapted to changes in business structures associated with the advancement of digitization, leading to low business Agiliti. In order to address these challenges, a company-wide project called "Project GAIA" was launched in 2019 with the mission of "changing operations, IT, behavior, and awareness to create customer value and achieve employee happiness," aiming for a refresh and business reform through the application of digital technologies to the internal IT system, which began operations of the newly overhauled company-wide core system in April 2024. This project centered around SAP products such as SAP Ariba (suppliers: 2,500 companies), SAP Concur (users: 10,000 people), S/4HANA (users: 300 people), and SAP S/4HANA Finance for cash management, realizing requirements by area in the cloud.
Overview of the Award
On March 7, 2025, NTT Data was awarded the "SAP Project Award" for excellence by SAP Japan for the company-wide project "Project GAIA."
Leveraging long-standing insights and experience as an SAP partner, along with the extensive knowledge of the NTT Data Group and management capabilities developed through large-scale projects, NTT Data concurrently introduced SAP Ariba, SAP Concur, and SAP S/4HANA in this complex and large-scale overhaul of the company’s core systems. This promoted simplification of decision-making processes in sales, development, and operations, creating an environment focused on efficiency in management tasks and value creation with customers. The project's true objective was to hasten management determinations and enhance the efficiency of business processes, thereby contributing to the "improvement of customer value" through the provision of higher-level services and to the "self-fulfillment of employees" through the introduction of new business models, which led to high recognition and the awarding of the prize.
Looking ahead.
Going forward, our group will utilize the insights gained from this project, along with our deep partnership with SAP, technical expertise, industry knowledge, and reliable and safe project implementation capabilities, to address the management challenges of our customers and contribute to the optimization of business processes and transformation as a true partner of our customers.
About the SAP AWARD OF EXCELLENCE
The "SAP AWARD OF EXCELLENCE" is an award presented to partner companies that have been highly evaluated for their contributions to the SAP business and customer satisfaction, and this year marks the 28th edition. Today, after hitting the high near 24,000 in the early session and entering bearish positions, the index fell sharply by nearly over 600 points, immediately recouping yesterday's losses significantly.
Moreover, today it broke the new high again, reaching a maximum of 24,076, but by the end of the market, it fell back by about 70 points, producing a bearish candle. The current trend has not yet been broken, but from the previous low until now, it has risen close to 6,000 points. It is believed that those with positions can continue to hold until there is a clear trend reversal for profit-taking. Those without positions can wait for a pullback to get in. Actually, it is hoped for a quick pullback, as it allows for entry and also provides a healthy breath.
Currently, the outlook remains the same as before. It is believed that even if there is a pullback, it shouldn't be too deep. However, if Futures fail to stabilize and close below 22,350, there may still be room for decline. The chance of Futures falling below 21,400 in the short term should be low, so it is considered that if a significant pullback occurs, it presents a good opportunity to incrementally go long. Recently, there has been a consistent approach to not hold positions overnight, only focusing on immediate trades, as there is no high chasing and no casual short selling.
