The average daily trading amount for February 2025 was HK$297.3 billion, up 107% from HK$143.8 billion last month, and up 230% from HK$90 billion in the same period last year.

The amount raised in the last initial public offering was 7.8 billion HKD, an increase of 255% compared to 2.2 billion HKD in the same period last year. The total amount raised was 24.9 billion HKD, an increase of 14% compared to 21.8 billion HKD in the same period last year.
In terms of the derivatives market, the average daily trading volume for futures and options for the first two months of 2025 was 1,867,100 contracts, an increase of 23% from 1,516,428 contracts in the same period last year; the average daily trading volume of Stock Options was 976,491 contracts, an increase of 51% from 646,263 contracts last year; the average daily trading volume of Single Stocks was 11,658 contracts, an increase of 55% from 7,525 contracts last year; the average daily trading volume of RMB MMF was 122,719 contracts, an increase of 65% from 74,569 contracts last year; on February 24, 2025, the trading volume of Hang Seng TECH Index futures reached a historic high of 469,133 contracts; on February 13, 2025, the weekly trading volume of Hang Seng Index Options reached a historic high of 42,280 contracts; on February 7, 2025, the trading volume of Hang Seng TECH Index Options reached a historic high of 24,820 contracts.
