Cypark's Kelantan 60 MWac Floating Solar Plant Now Fully Delivers To The Grid

Cypark Resources Berhad announced that the Danau Tok Uban Floating Solar Plant in Kelantan, Malaysia's largest floating solar installation, has officially achieved its commercial operations date for the remaining 30MWac floating solar plant known as DTU1.

The 30MWac DTU2 plant had achieved its COD earlier on 7 January 2025 Subsequent to the company's Strategic Review launched 12 months ago, this milestone marks the successful completion of all outstanding projects under Cypark's reconstituted Board and new senior management.

The group said the combined 60MWac floating solar facility is now fully operational and supplying clean energy to the national grid. Dato' Ami Moris, Executive Chair of Cypark, said "Achieving COD for Danau Tok Uban represents more than just a project completion—it signifies a transformation in Cypark's capabilities and leadership. Over the past year, we have strengthened our management and engineering teams, successfully completed key renewable energy projects, and resolved outstanding challenges to position Cypark as Malaysia's leading renewable energy company."
