U.S. stocks were mixed, with the Dow Jones index gaining around 100 points on Thursday.
Shares of Knight-Swift Transportation Holdings Inc. (NYSE:KNX) rose sharply during Thursday's session as the company reported better-than-expected fourth-quarter adjusted earnings results.
Knight-Swift reported quarterly earnings of 36 cents per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of 33 cents per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $1.86 billion which missed the analyst consensus estimate of $1.88 billion.
Knight-Swift Transportation shares gained 5% to $57.77 on Thursday.

- Evolv Technologies Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:EVLV) rose 15.4% to $3.7149 as the company provided a positive update on strategic metrics for the three-month period ending December 31, 2024.
- MicroVision, Inc. (NASDAQ:MVIS) climbed 15.4% to $1.8350.
- TAL Education Group (NYSE:TAL) gained 15.3% to $10.53 after the company reported better-than-expected third-quarter financial results.
- LSI Industries Inc. (NASDAQ:LYTS) shares jumped 15% to $22.73 after the company reported better-than-expected second-quarter financial results.
- OSI Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:OSIS) gained 13.8% to $192.43 following upbeat quarterly results.
- Himax Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:HIMX) shares rose 11.3% to $11.04.
- MarineMax, Inc. (NYSE:HZO) jumped 9.7% to $30.67 after the company reported better-than-expected quarterly adjusted EPS results.
- Blaize Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:BZAI) shares gained 9.5% to $6.92.
- GE Aerospace (NYSE:GE) gained 9.1% to $205.55 following better-than-expected quarterly earnings.
- WNS (Holdings) Limited (NYSE:WNS) rose 8.4% to $53.68 following strong quarterly sales.
- Guidewire Software, Inc. (NYSE:GWRE) gained 7.5% to $197.19. Guidewire Software will replace Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals in the S&P MidCap 400, effective prior to opening of trading on Jan. 27.
